The best gift for a boat owner who has everything is something with their own boat on it. They can't already own it, it's made just for them, and they'll use it every time they're on the water. Order the custom artwork of their boat, send us a photo, approve the design, and we print it on any gift you choose, from a koozie to a sherpa blanket.
Key takeaways
- Boat owners usually have the gear already. A gift with a drawing of their boat is one they can't buy for themselves.
- All you need is a clear daytime photo of the boat. A phone photo, a social media post or a marina listing works.
- You see a proof first and can ask for changes as many times as you like.
- Every first order starts with the artwork of their boat. After that, one design works on every product, so you can order gifts for the whole crew.
- Can't get a photo without spoiling the surprise? A gift card lets them choose and send the photo themselves.
Why a gift with their own boat works
Ask a boater what they want and you'll hear "nothing, I'm set." They have the cooler, the sunglasses and the fishing gear. What they don't have is their boat, drawn by an artist, on the shirt they wear to the dock or the tumbler they carry onboard. It's personal without being a guess, and it lasts longer than another gadget.
Gift ideas by person
1. For the boater who has everything: the artwork itself
Start with the custom digital boat artwork, a hand-drawn digital design of their boat. Frame it, print it on canvas, or use it on any product in the store later.
2. For the boater who lives in their boat gear
A UPF 50+ sun hoodie or a UPF 40+ long sleeve shirt with their boat on the back is the gift they will wear every weekend. For cooler evenings, there's the classic custom boat hoodie. Browse more in men's apparel.
3. For dad
Dad already has three hats. He doesn't have one with his boat on it. See our full gifts for dads who love boats, from shirts and hats to 32 oz tumblers and golf balls.
4. For her
Women's hoodies and quarter-zips, wine tumblers, totes, candles and soft blankets, all with her boat on them. See boat gifts for her.
5. For a new boat owner, including pontoon owners
A first boat deserves a celebration. A boat flag, a dock mat, vinyl decals and koozies for the first cruise make a great starter set. We draw every kind of boat, pontoons included. See new boat owner gifts.
6. For the lake house or cabin
Blankets, throw pillows, rugs, coasters and canvas wall art turn the family boat into decor. See lake house gifts.
7. For the whole crew
Once the boat is drawn, the same design works on kids' tees, women's tanks, men's shirts and even a pet bandana. Matching gear makes a great family photo on the water.
Boat gifts under $50
Personal doesn't have to be expensive. Can koozies, insulated tumblers, coffee mugs, hats and performance shirts all cost less than $50. First-time orders start with the boat's artwork, and once it's drawn you can add as many of these as you like. See all boat gifts under $50.
How to make it a surprise
- Find a photo. Check your camera roll, their social media, a marina or club page, or the listing photos from when they bought the boat.
- Pick a clear daytime shot. A side view works best, but most angles are fine. We can remove people and clutter.
- Approve the proof. We email you the drawing before anything is printed, and you can request changes as many times as you like.
- No photo? Give a gift card and let them send their own photo. It's also the fastest option for last-minute gifts.
Ordering in time for the holidays
